Our one-day itinerary around Cape Town offers fantastic scenery and many kilometers of trails in a setting as incredible as it is varied.
From Cape Town to Ceres via the Bainskloof Pass, you’ll have the chance to discover some magnificent mountain scenery.
We’ll then head for Riebeek-Kasteel, offering a track through the orchards and vineyards of the Swartland region, before returning to Cape Town on small country roads.
A perfect one-day itinerary for motorcycle enthusiasts wishing to discover the region on two wheels during their stay in Cape Town.
Details of our Cape Town Motorcycle Tour
Day 1
Cape Town
Depart north for Bainskloof Pass, a mountain pass on the R301 regional road between Wellington and Ceres in the Western Cape. It is 18 kilometers long.
We pass through the small village of Ceres, nestled in a valley covered in orchards, before taking the track for lunch in Riebeek-Kasteel, one of South Africa’s oldest towns. It is located 80 km northeast of Cape Town, in the Riebeek valley, along with its sister town, Riebeek West. After lunch, we’ll take the track back to Malmesbury, and from there take a small country road to the entrance to Cape Town.
Total distance: 330 km (including 110km of track)
